Game Hire at the MTC, Coventry
If you've booked an event at MTC Events and you're thinking about how to keep your guests engaged between sessions, on an exhibition stand, or throughout the evening, we can help. Fun Pro supplies interactive games, arcade machines, and event entertainment to events taking place at the Manufacturing Technology Centre. We don't hire out the venue itself; that side is handled by the MTC's own events team. What we do is deliver, set up, and collect the entertainment that fills the room you've booked, so the guest experience is one less thing on your list.
We've been supplying corporate events across the UK since 2009, and the MTC is genuinely on our doorstep. Our base is just outside Coventry, a short drive away, which makes this one of the most straightforward venues we deliver to anywhere in the country.
About the MTC as an Events Venue
MTC Events sits within the Manufacturing Technology Centre campus at Ansty Business Park, on the northern edge of Coventry, just off Junction 2 of the M6. It's a modern, purpose-designed venue rather than a converted space, and the setting matters: this is a working research and technology campus at the heart of British manufacturing, which gives events held here a credibility that's hard to manufacture elsewhere.
For event planners, the useful figures are the spaces. The venue caters for anything from a two-person meeting up to around 350 attendees, across a 247-seat tiered auditorium, a bright open-plan exhibition space, a lakeside restaurant, a mezzanine, and a run of meeting rooms and business lounges. There's free on-site parking with roughly 300 spaces, Birmingham Airport is under 20 minutes away, and the venue has a strong sustainability commitment. Venue bookings are made directly through the MTC Events team.
Event Spaces at the MTC and the Games That Suit Them
Different spaces work well for different kinds of entertainment. Once you know which room your event is in, we can recommend games that fit the footprint, power setup, and style of the occasion.
The Exhibition Space
This is the natural home for interactive games at the MTC. The exhibition space is bright, open, and designed with flexibility in mind, and its bi-fold doors open directly onto the car park, which makes moving large items in and out considerably easier than at most venues. For us, that means straightforward load-in for bigger equipment.
Given the audience the MTC attracts, racing car simulators tend to be the standout choice here, drawing a crowd as people compete for the fastest lap. Batak Pro and Batak Lite reaction games, Mega Buzz Wire, and Grab A Grand cash cubes all work well too, particularly if you're one exhibitor among several and need something that stops passers-by.
The Restaurant and Mezzanine
The lakeside restaurant is the heart of the venue, with natural light, terrace access, and enough room for gala dinners and conference lunches. It can also be reconfigured for product launches and breakout sessions. The mezzanine offers a similar flexibility on a smaller scale, and works well for networking, informal breakouts, and refreshment breaks. Both suit post-dinner and between-session entertainment. Think photo booths, prize wheels, shuffleboard, and smaller retro arcade machines that add energy without dominating the room or interrupting conversation.
The Auditorium and Meeting Rooms
The 247-seat auditorium is a tiered, fixed-seat theatre, so it isn't a space for games in itself. What it does mean is that conference days at the MTC tend to have clear break points, and that's where entertainment earns its place, positioned in the exhibition space or mezzanine just outside so people come across it naturally between sessions.
The meeting rooms and business lounges range from small syndicate rooms up to larger flexible spaces, with rooms 1 and 2 able to open into a single pillar-free room. Space here is more contained, so compact games work best. Pub games, smaller arcades, and prize wheels all fit neatly. Several rooms overlook the lake, which is worth keeping in mind when thinking about layout and guest flow.
Outdoor Spaces
The MTC has outdoor exhibition space available, and the restaurant terrace offers another option in good weather. If any part of your event moves outdoors, it's worth thinking about weather cover early. Most of our games are built for indoor use, though we do have options that travel outdoors safely. Fun fair stalls like hook-a-duck or a coconut shy can work well outdoors if there's shelter available. Chat to us early about the specifics and we'll steer you towards games that suit the conditions.
What Fun Pro Handles, and What We Don't
To keep everything clear from the start, here's how our service fits around your MTC booking.
What we handle:
Supplying and delivering the games to the MTC on your event date
Setting up on arrival, testing everything, and making sure it's ready before your guests arrive
Branding games with your company logo and colours, if you'd like that
Supervising games on the day or handing over to your team, depending on the package
Collecting everything at the agreed time after the event
What we don't handle:
Venue hire, room setup, or floor plans (the MTC Events team manages this)
Catering, AV staging, lighting, or décor
Overnight equipment storage between multi-day events, unless arranged in advance
If you've not yet booked the venue, the MTC Events team will be your first call. Once your space is confirmed, come back to us and we'll slot the entertainment around it.
Planning Entertainment for an MTC Event
A few practical things are worth thinking about early. Once the MTC has confirmed your room, it's helpful to share the floor plan with us. That way we can advise on which games fit comfortably, where power points sit relative to your layout, and how to keep walkways clear for guest flow.
Because the MTC draws a lot of manufacturing and engineering audiences, it's worth thinking about what suits the room. Competitive, skill-based games tend to land particularly well with technical delegates, and they give people a reason to linger and talk, which is usually the point.
If you're exhibiting, branding is worth raising early too. Our in-house team can apply your logo and colours to your chosen game, which makes a noticeable difference on a busy floor, but it needs a bit of lead time.
In terms of lead time generally, two to four weeks' notice is usually comfortable for most games. If your event falls in November or December, we'd recommend booking earlier, as those dates tend to fill up first. That said, because we're so close by, we can often help at shorter notice than we could elsewhere. It's always worth asking.
Getting Games Delivered to the MTC
The MTC is one of the closest venues to our base, which keeps things simple. Delivery, setup, and collection are all included in the quote we send you, so there are no surprise charges for logistics. On the day, our team will coordinate arrival and access with the MTC based on which space you've booked and what time guests arrive. For exhibitions, we tend to arrive earlier to allow time for the stand layout to come together properly, and the bi-fold doors into the exhibition space make that process a good deal easier than at most venues.
If you'd like to see the kind of events we've supplied elsewhere, our testimonials page has feedback from corporate clients across the UK, and the safety and insurance page covers our public liability cover and equipment testing.

No. MTC Events is booked directly through the venue's own events team. Fun Pro supplies the games, arcade machines, and interactive entertainment that go into the space you've booked.
Which spaces at the MTC do you supply games to?
All of the flexible ones, including the exhibition space, the restaurant, the mezzanine, the meeting rooms, and the business lounges. We'll recommend games based on the room size, layout, and the style of your event.
How far in advance should I book game hire for an MTC event?
Two to four weeks is usually comfortable. For events in November and December it's worth booking earlier. Because the MTC is close to our base, we can sometimes help at shorter notice, so do ask.
Can you brand the games with our company logo?
Yes. Our in-house team designs, prints, and applies your logo and colours to your chosen game, which works particularly well for exhibition stands and product launches. Let us know early so we can build in production time.
Do you handle setup and collection at the venue?
Yes. Delivery, setup, safety checks, and collection are all included. Your only job on the day is enjoying the event.
Are your games suitable for events with mixed ages and abilities?
Yes. We consider the mix of guests attending and can recommend games that everyone can join in with, regardless of age, ability, or comfort level.
