What Works for College Students

College events have a different feel to university events. Your students are typically 16–18, many are still living at home, and the social dynamics are closer to school than to university. The entertainment needs to be engaging enough to get teenagers involved but appropriate for a supervised educational setting.

Here's what we've found works well for different college events:

End-of-Year Celebrations and Proms

College proms and end-of-year events call for entertainment that feels special. Photo Booths with props are the centrepiece of most college proms — students spend the evening taking group photos and leaving with printed memories. Casino Tables (fun money, no actual gambling) add sophistication. Dance Machines create energy and get people on their feet.

Enrichment Days and Fun Days

These are about participation and getting students out of the classroom. Giant Garden Games like Giant Jenga and Giant Connect 4 work outdoors on college grounds. Retro Arcade Games and Racing Simulators draw the students who prefer indoor activities. Table Football and Air Hockey are guaranteed crowd-pleasers for this age group.

Space: Most college common rooms, halls and outdoor areas work well. We need a standard 13A plug socket for electronic games. We'll confirm space requirements for your specific selection.

Safeguarding: We carry £5M public liability insurance, PAT test all equipment and provide full risk assessments — the paperwork your safeguarding team needs is ready.
