The Hilton sits on Downing Street in the heart of Cambridge, a short walk from King's College, Corpus Christi College, and the Fitzwilliam Museum, and around 20 minutes on foot from Cambridge railway station. On-site parking is available, which is worth knowing in a city where central spaces are limited.

For event planners, the useful figures are the function rooms. The hotel has five pillar-free meeting suites along with a central atrium, built-in AV in each room, and around 316 square metres of total event space. The largest room, the Isaac Newton Suite, holds up to 220 guests theatre-style and can be divided into two, while the smaller suites suit boardroom meetings and breakout sessions. The whole space can be booked exclusively, with a combined capacity of roughly 670 across all rooms and the atrium. Venue bookings are made directly through the Hilton's events team.

The Isaac Newton Suite

This is the hotel's largest space, holding up to 220 delegates theatre-style and divided into two smaller rooms, with its own separate entrance and private bar. That makes it useful for conferences with breakout sessions or evening events that need a mix of zones. With this much floor area to play with, larger-footprint games work well. Think racing car simulators, Batak Pro reaction games, prize cranes, and photo booths for post-dinner entertainment.

The Atrium

The light-filled central atrium can be hired alongside the suites or as a standalone space for receptions and exhibitions. Its open plan makes it well suited to footfall-driving games that pull people together as they arrive or move between sessions. Grab A Grand cash cubes, prize wheels, and retro arcade machines all work well here, particularly for drinks receptions or brand activations where you want something that draws a crowd.

The Hawking, Byron, Tennyson and Wordsworth Suites

These smaller suites suit gatherings of roughly 15 to 60 guests, depending on the room and layout. Space is more limited here, so compact games work best. Shuffleboard and other pub games, smaller retro arcades, and prize wheels all fit neatly without dominating the room. They work well for breakout entertainment during a conference day, or as a relaxed zone alongside a meeting in the Isaac Newton Suite.

Receptions and Communal Spaces

If your event spills into the hotel's bar or communal areas, it's worth thinking about layout and guest flow early. Most of our games are built for indoor use, which suits a city-centre hotel well. What Fun Pro Handles, and What We Don't

To keep everything clear from the start, here's how our service fits around your Hilton booking.

Access and loading matter too, particularly for a city-centre hotel. Downing Street sits in central Cambridge, so it's worth checking with your events contact at the Hilton about delivery access and timing; we'll work around whatever they confirm.

In terms of lead time, two to four weeks' notice is usually comfortable for most games. If your event falls in November or December, we'd recommend booking earlier, as those dates tend to fill up first.
