In sports mode the stadium holds 27,000; in concert mode that rises to 32,000. For event planners, though, the more useful figures are the function rooms: 18 executive boxes, a 1,000-capacity conference suite, and a Concourse offering roughly 3,500 square metres of exhibition space.

The stadium is widely regarded as the largest conference and events venue in the South West, and it hosted two quarter-finals and both semi-finals of the 2025 Women's Rugby World Cup. It's fully DDA accessible, has on-site car parking, and handles everything from small board meetings through to 1,000-guest dinners. Venue bookings are made directly through the Ashton Gate events team.

The Lansdown Suite

This is Ashton Gate's largest function room, holding up to 1,000 delegates conference-style or 850 for a seated dinner. It can be divided into three smaller spaces, which makes it useful for conferences with breakout sessions or evening events that need a mix of zones. With this much floor area to play with, larger-footprint games work well. Think racing car simulators, Batak reaction games, prize cranes, and photo booths for post-dinner entertainment.

The Concourse

The U-shaped Concourse is purpose-built for exhibitions and large-scale brand activations. With its open plan and multiple power points, it suits footfall-driving games that pull visitors onto your stand. Grab A Grand cash cubes, prize wheels, and retro arcade machines all perform well here, particularly if you're exhibiting alongside others and need something that stops passers-by. Executive Boxes and Smaller Lounges

The 18 executive boxes, along with lounges such as the Pravha Lounge and Dolman Lounge, suit smaller gatherings of 20 to 150 guests. Space is more limited here, so compact games work best. Shuffleboard and other pub games, smaller retro arcades, and prize wheels all fit neatly without dominating the room. These spaces often overlook the pitch, which is worth keeping in mind when thinking about layout and guest flow.

Pitchside and Outdoor Spaces

If your event involves any outdoor or pitchside element, it's worth thinking about weather cover. Most of our games are built for indoor use, though we do have options that travel outdoors safely.
